Payton Mcwhorter Mrs.Holley P27 Prediction
ReplyDelete“Lefty Lewis was sitting with Mrs. Sleet’s kids. The little girl had a big smile and the boy was looking at me kind of hard.”
I'm going to go out on a limb and say that the dude doesn't really like Bud that much. Why you may ask but I have truly no dea. I mean he hasn't met him yet. So why wouldn't he like him? Any way he might get him in trouble but it seems that the boy doesn't like him.
Just wondering what would you do to your enemies?
FYI(This comment was put under Aubrey's but is was supposed to be for Payton)

I would leave them alone because if there mad at me for no reason then it is not my fault. I would also avoid them the best I could, but still be cordial to them. I would wait until they are able to figure out what there problem is before I start to dislike them too.
P15 Carson Hansen Mrs. Holley
DeleteIt would depend, like what person he or she was.
If this is a case where I dislike the person, and they dislike me, we both would probably not talk to each other. I wouldn't necessarily do something to them.

ReplyDelete“When you Up and don't know for sure will you at and there's a bunch of people standing around you, it is best to pretend you're still asleep until you can figure out what is going on and what you should do.” (Curtis 116)
Bud does not know where he is after he fell asleep in the car with Mr.Lewis. The problem is that Bud doesn’t know where he is. In that place there are strange voice that he had never heard before. Bud thought it was best to keep acting like he was asleep so that he could find a way to get away from these strange people.
What would you do if you were in Bud's situation?

DeleteI would have probably did the same thing and waited for the right moment to run.
I would do the same thing he did.

ReplyDelete¨THE CAR ONLY WENT thirty giant steps before it commenced to bucking and finally cut right off. The vampire guy finally caught up with me. He was looking very surprised, he just tapped on the window with his knuckle. He said, "Roll the window down for a minute, Bud"¨ (Curtis 108).
Alright come on Bud come on do a better job driving. Just drive or better yet just run if it was necessary. Plus he might just work at the hospital (I predicted it before I even read the chapter)! Just put on the gas or run or literally anything just do it right! I just wanted to point that out, because come on drive correctly, and I also wanted to point out the fact that I really predicted it!
Challenging the Text
Have you had a time where you drove a car, (hope you did not)!

ReplyDelete“And I’ma tell you, I’ve seen some things out of place before and a young brown-skinned boy walking along the road just outside of Owosso, Michigan, at two-thirty in the morning.” (99)
Let me break this down for ya. This means that Bud is walking along a dirt road at 2:30 A.M. and almost gets hit by a car. Then the man says that their just outside Owosso, Michigan. Bud is living the life.
Why did this happen?
P27 Mrs.Holley Floyd Nevaeh Interpreting/Making a Prediction
ReplyDelete“... I’d seen all the books I’d read about vampires I never could think of seeing one that could drive a car. But I wasn’t going to take any chances.”(Curtis 109)-Conflict (Bud thinks Lefty is a vampire, so he doesn’t trust him anymore)
Bud seems to jump to conclusions a lot based on the facts he has. Bud must have some experience with vampires if he has read books about them. Hopefully, Bud won’t get too jumpy that he hurts Lefty Lewis. I think Bud will try to drive away again, to leave Lefty Lewis stranded. “Could I please see your teeth sir?”(Curtis 109) (Interpreting/Making a Prediction)
What would you do if you thought someone was a monster?
P15 Carson Hansen Mrs. Holley
DeleteI would be scared half to death, I would try to talk to him without making him mad and try to convince him that I was not dinner. I would also try to run if I could!
If I saw them, I would run the other way.

ReplyDelete“I’ll sing a song...when I’m done I get to ask you one question…”
She could ask a personal question about his father. She could also ask about why he was really running. I think she will ask about why he is running. The girl is very curious and will stop at nothing.
Would you agree to do something like this even when you are telling a big lie?
